A very competitive game played on a large pitch in windy conditions saw Goole ahead for most of the game with a comfortable
lead at the break. Things could have been different had Van Leer taken all their chances with breaks on goal and a missed
penalty in the first half.
The home side exerted much pressure in the second half but Juniors held out usually with a two goal cushion thanks to some sterling work by the Goole defence. Scorers for Goole were Niall Barker 2 Danny Moore 2 and Ben Hart who notched the all-important opening goal |
