TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH ENDS IN MISERY FOR HESSLE
Top of the table joint leaders Hessle Sporting entertained their co-partners Hedon Rangers in what was expected to be a very close encounter, both teams started at a very fast pace with the ball being passed around both sides at speed, both teams looked dangerous on attack and after 6 mins Tom Coyle latched onto a cross at the back post and slotted in Hedons first. Hessle pressed the Hedon goal and came close on several occasions with Josh Lambert having the ball cleared off the Hedon goal line. Both teams progressed through the first half and goals could of gone either end. The second half started at the same pace and after four mins Rob Petch scored for Hedon making an uphill task for the Hessle Team. Hedon continued to press and Hessle seemed to lose their composure thus allowing Rob Petch to steal the 3rd for Hedon, as the game progressed Hessle seemed to loose the rhythm allowing Hedon too much space and time on the ball which allowed the 4th goal from Mark Daddy to seal Hessle’s fate. It must be said that both teams played some excellent football and can only be described as a credit to Youth football. Another outstanding performance from Danny Moore and the back and Josh Lambert at right midfield for Hessle. |
