Bricknell continued their excellent start to the league with a win in a match which was
perhaps even closer than the scoreline suggests.
The game started very well, with Sproatley defending very well. After around 30 minutes though, the Sproatley defenders were caught with a ball over the top, which Iain Booth neatly chipped over the oncoming goalkeeper. In the second half, the Sproatley number 11 had two good free-kicks, which only just went over the bar. But Bricknell's superiority was confirmed around 10 minutes from time as Booth scored another goal, a suprb left-footed half volley after a cross from Rob Fryatt. Rob Gill, who won Man-of-the-Match, also came close with several chances which were saved well by the Sproatley goal-keeper. |
