Brid returned to winning ways with a very comfortable victory over a Cranswick team who
despite being outplayed throughout managed to keep the scoreline respectable. With Spartans
keeper Neal a spectator for the whole 80 minutes it was one way traffic towards the
Cranswick goal.Playing some superb football in the first half Spartans created chance
after chance and by the interval were leading 5-0 with Boynton grabbing a hat-trick and
Lapworth scoring twice.
With the match already over as a contest the second half saw wholesale changes in the Spartans team with all the squad given a run out and despite spending the whole 40 minutes encamped in Cranswicks half could only add one further goal through Hall.To their credit Cranswick battled on gamely whilst Spartans seemed content to be leading so comfortably and the match ended as it began with Spartans pushing forward. Managers comments; After 2 below par performances against admittedly much stronger opposition we returned to form playing some great football especially in the first half.To keep our discipline and shape whoever the opposition is extremely important. |
