Motabitz sponsored East Hull,started the new season in the Wyke league with a gritty display away to the established Shiptonthorpe. East Hull playing against the wind took the game to Ship with Brown and Smith working hard in midfield, they soon got their reward ,when from a corner Cracknell headed home to set East Hull on their way. Shiptonthorpe rallied to equalise ,from their big striker. 1-1, With last seasons top scorer Thompson causing the Shiptonthorpe defence problems with his pace ,he turned to beat the offside and calmly slotted home 1-2.East Hull were startingto find gaps down the right ,with Lewis Conman outstanding at full back constantly supplying Tutty to take on the defence ,this was to create the 3rd goal for East Hull with Thompson netting again 1-3.halftime.

With Shiptonthorpe having to play against a strong wind in the second half,East Hull raised their game with Thompson getting his hatrick when he again left the defence standing to fire home .1-4.New signing Lawrence Emson repaced Cracknell up front and soon had the Ship defence panicking with his pace when he onto a Stanard through ball to make it 1-5 East Hull.East Hull dominated the last quater and sub Wayne Hugman finished from an acute angle to fire home from the right. 1-6 to East Hull.

Man of Match, Lewis Conman ,East Hull totally commited display at full back for East Hull.
