Spartans took to the field in their new kit sponsored by Watts 4 x 4 Centre of Scarborough
Road, Bridlington, and attacked the Tickton goal straight from the off creating numerous
chances.The first half saw Spartans score 11 goals which would have been more had the
Tickton keeper not made a number of excellent saves.The pick of the goals in the first half
saw Cruddas score from 25yds to leave the Tickton Keeper stranded.On a disappointing note
Spartans conceeded 2 sloppy goals when better defending would have kept their goal intact.

Spartans continued to attack throughout the entire second half but wasteful finishing and another great performance from the home team keeper kept the scoreline down and by the final whistle Spartans had run out 16-2 winners. Scorers:- Hall 4,Cross 3, Barry 3,Lapworth 2, Tyers 2,Green 1,Cruddas 1. Managers comments:-With better finishing Spartans could and should have scored on many more occasions and quicker and better use of the final ball and chosing the correct options in front of goal must be practiced. Overall another good performance but there is still room for improvement. |
