The game started wth a lot of good attacking play from the away side
who were the favourites goin into the game,after notching up 36 goals in
there 2 away games so far this season and on the back of a 5 game
winning streak.The outcome of the days result would effect who would be
top of the division as both teams were joint on points a the top.The
first half was quick and tiring,wth alot of good football played curtousy
of the Springhead lads,the springhead lads especially,looked on there
way to wot should have been a half time lead but the home side prooved
strong at the back and were hard to break down.Therefore keeping the
score to 0-0.
The second half began in the favour of Springhead wth good build up play,and some good defending.It was hard to see were the goals were gunna come from until Dave Alexander struck tucked one away to make it 1-0 to the away side on 60mins,which then sparked an amazing 15 minute period by Springhead which lead to a well worked goal by Quelch and another shortly after from a penalty converted by Quelch which was well deserved after an all round excellant performance.From then the on the game was mared by fouls,late tackles and frustration from the home side,which came to no avail when the whistle blew.Ending the game with a 3-0 to Springhead,which put them firmly on top of the divion 3 table. Comments: Outstanding fitness by Springhead Spartans. Excellent resiliance and hard work from spartans. Alot of unsportsmanship behavior from the bradsburton players. Brandsburton were totally outclassed this time round. |
