  Under 14 Kingston Season 2001-2002

25/11/01 Filey Boys Club 9 Pint & Pot FC YC 1
Pint & Pot started the game very brightly, and Jamie Haxby in the Filey goal had to make a couple of sharp saves early on. In one of their first attacks Filey scored through Richard Ossai which, at the time, was rather against the run of play. Ryan Marsh added a second soon after, and then two goals in a minute from Richard Ossai saw Filey take control, and Ryan Marsh added a second just before half-time.

Filey started the second half where they left off and Ossai made it 6 - 0 soon after the restart. Pint & Pot had never given up, and Liam Welham pulled a one back with an excellent near post header from a corner. Despite their continuing efforts, they never managed to get back into the game and Filey finished off with 3 more goals from Ryan Marsh, Matt Wilkins (with his first touch after coming on as a sub) and Richard Ossai.

Filey played there best game for some weeks with Jamie Haxby pulling off some excellent saves when needed; and the defence (where Tom Sutton had an excellent game) giving little away. The midfield played well with Jordan Powell working very hard, and Steven Milburn had his best game yet in a Filey shirt; and the front two were clinical in their finishing. The pick of the goals were the second with Ryan Marsh's lob over the keeper from the edge of the area; and the last where Richard Ossail finished an excellent flowing move which started from the Filey defence. Pint & Pot always made a match of it, and in Liam Welham had one of the best players on the pitch.
