Filey scored first through Matt Gill after 5 minutes, but Anthony
Andrews equalised a few minutes later with a good shot. A hat-trick in 20
minutes midway through the half from Richard Ossai put Filey well in control.
Two are worth a mention - the first a solo effort from the half-way line,
and the third - a great shot from the corner of the area. Anthony Edwards
then pulled one back just before the break following a defensive mix-up.
Filey dominated the second half with Ossai scoring 2 more and Ryan Marsh
adding the seventh. Thomas Birch scored the third for Shiptonthorpe with a
twice-taken penalty.
This was another excellent performance from a Filey side who are beginning to play some confident and attractive football. Man-of-the-match with 5 goals for the second week running was Richard Ossai, but defenders Richard Farnell and Jack Ferguson also had outstanding games. |
