Moabitz sponsored East Hull U.T.D dumped another Drypool team out of
the cup at Saxby Rd ,East Hull. In perfect footballing conditions Raiders
stunned East Hull,by taking the lead against the run of play,when
classy striker Smith scored for Raiders on 15 mins,0-1 . East Hull responded
3 minutes later when the pacey Thompson beat the offside to fire home for
East Hull. 1-1. Despite playing into a strong wind East Hull took the game to
Raiders who were beginning to panic in their defence ,causing their
defender to handle the ball ,penalty ,and Thompson calmly slotted home,2-1.On 35
mins Cracknell headed home a Danny Morriss corner ,3-1 .Two minutes later
Thompson claimed his hatrick with a superb finish ,after a fine ball from
Atkinson,4-1to East Hull . Half time,4-1 .
The second half and East Hull really made a mockery of their Wyke League status,playing some quality stuff ,the Raiders keeper kept four goalbound efforts out ,with some fantastic saves,until Cracknell battled for the ball then blasted home his second,5-1 .With captain James Welsh superb at the back marshalling his defence he soon set up Brown for East Hulls sixth ,6-1.Then in the last minute Thompson fired home his fourth to take the score to 7-1 East HULL. Manager Karl Stewart said "Thanks lads this result was the one i wanted more than any other ,you did me proud". |
