Filey Boys got off to a winning start in this their first ever match
in the Hull Boys Sunday League, but they were made to fight all the
way by a determined Pint & Pot team. Filey went into a 4-1 lead at
half-time with a hat-trick from Richard Ossai and one from Ryan Marsh;
but they struggled to find their form in the second half and Pint &
Pot pulled it back to 4-3.
It could then have gone either way, but Filey went 5-3 ahead with a speculative lob from Jordan Powell who then added a sixth from a corner. Pint & Pot, to their credit never gave up and scored a fourth just before the end. The game was very entertaining and played in an excellent spirit. Filey's man of the match : Lee Eblet who had an outstanding game in the centre of the defence. |
