Spartans lost this 2nd round K.O.CUP match against Myton League opponents AFC Biggin and
in doing so lost back to back matches for the first time in over 4 seasons. Against
better organised and fitter opponents Spartans were second best and Biggin scored 4 first
half goals without reply to give them a comfortable lead at the interval.
The second half saw both teams cancel each other out as the match was already over as a contest. What had started as a promising season for Spartans has been interupted by these 2 defeats .Some of the players should look at themselves and realise that not all opponents lay down and die. A good team does not become a poor team overnight but hard work and a better attitude must be shown especially in training otherwise it will not be the last time Spartans lose this season. |
